We understand the high value of great team members and pay accordingly, but that's not why we're a great place to work. We won't force tools on you and we only use a methodology if it makes sense for us. We'll not only listen to your ideas on how to make things better but we'll encourage you to go get it done. In our market, we're not only the leader, we're the innovator. Your ideas will see the light of day. We're all about making our customers happy and being the best software company our customers have ever dealt with. We strive for excellence and continuous improvement, in our products, our systems, and ourselves.
We are about great service, and as important as happy customers are, we want you to be happy and we want this to be the best (and maybe last) job you'll ever have. It's important to us that you find a good balance between your job and the rest of your life.
Steelray is a refreshing change from the world of getting beaten up every day not only by your customers and competitors but by the company you work for.
You really like sales. You understand that nothing moves forward in a company without sales. You're proud to be in sales and view it as a calling and not a job. You understand the importance of building lasting, genuine relationships. You're not a one hit wonder but a trusted advisor. You're not full of yourself, but you are confident. You know a lot and know that you still have a lot to learn. You're well trained in sales but open to new ways of doing things. Your writing is well thought out and succinct. You are constantly looking for solutions for our clients (even if we can't provide them). You are consultative and understand value. You have enough technical skills to be dangerous. You know how it feels to have doors slammed in your face, yet have the fortitude and creativity to open new ones. You are a true sales professional that takes ownership of their individual and team sales goals.Must have Experience:
You will leverage your existing contacts and vast knowledge of the Government, Aerospace Defense industry to build relationships. You will use your professional sales skills to uncover new opportunities within our impressive GASD customer base. You will participate in industry trade shows. You will work with our reseller partners to penetrate other branches of the government. You will take the initiative to open doors to organizations where we don't have a relationship.
Is this you? Does it sound like a good fit? Write us at firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us why.
We are looking for you, a software developer just out of college with some experience in in C#, Java, PHP, .Net and/or Linux.
Here's the sweet spot. You're looking for a small, stable, healthy company with loads of growth potential. You want to be part of a close-knit team that collaborates continuously to create and maintain great software solutions that make our users awesome. You are making a difference with your contributions and you're growing, learning, being challenged and gaining more experience where it really counts. And there's no commute to Duluth, no commute to Alpharetta, no commute to Marietta. The office is right here in Atlanta next to Piedmont Park!
You really like to code. In your spare time, you have a side project or two going. Being another drone in a large corporate development organization is not for you. You know how to write solid code, and you're fast but not sloppy. You're constantly reading another book to improve your skills and make your life easier (we'll fund that habit). You're not perfect but know how to write decent unit and system tests to get as close as you can to bug-free code.
You take a lot of pride in the code you write, and make sure it meets the needs of your users. You're comfortable talking to customers, salespeople, and anyone else who keeps us in business. Whatever is best for the job at hand is fine with you, whether it's Java, C#, PHP, etc. You have no fear of new languages, new platforms, and new challenges. If you're with us a while, and that's what we 're hoping for, you'll surely be picking them up when it makes sense.
You have excellent people skills and communicate well. You're patient with those who don't have your technical skills. You're reliable; when you say you'll do something, people who know you know that it will get done without further prompting.
You will be a key player of an engineering team designing, developing and maintaining a suite of software applications and services. You will code using the latest development tools and languages. Do you know any of the following: .Net, C#, Java, Swing, PHP, Netbeans, Eclipse, or Advanced Installer? Can you administer Windows 7, Windows 8, or the LAMP stack? What about mobile development? You will provide valuable input in all aspects of the software development cycle. Like all of our engineers, you will assist in technical support to provide excellent customer service.
Is this you? Does it sound like a good fit? If this interests you then we'd love to hear from you. Please direct job inquiries to email@example.com
