The software application is used to view Microsoft Project files. It is an inexpensive alternative that allows users a way to view existing schedules from multiple platforms.

Steelray Project Viewer, the leading viewer for Microsoft Project, has recently been updated. This software has existed for more than a decade and has been used by thousands of businesses to cut project management licensing costs. Project Viewer was designed from its inception to be a low-cost solution for companies to share their Microsoft Project schedules. The benefits of this application are quickly realized by companies that have multiple and extensive schedules in effect at all times.

To increase efficiency and reduce user error, the program allows for quick access and distribution of existing data. Schedules can be seen remotely with ease, and users do not need to worry about compatibility problems or other errors that can often occur when viewing files from an external platform. In addition, schedule developer and project managers can rest assured that their files cannot be edited or revised; Because it is a pure viewer, unwarranted schedule changes are prohibited.

What Can You Expect to Receive?
Technological innovations have made it easier for team members to work remotely. Fortunately, software like Project Viewer makes doing so easy. For midsize and large organizations, this application can potentially save thousands of dollars in licensing fees. After distributing this low cost application, you can instantly circulate project schedules to all project team members.

Do I Need to Use Microsoft Project?
Most customers will be glad to know that Steelray Project Viewer acts as a standalone application. You won’t need the hassle or expense of using Microsoft Project every time you want to open and view a schedule.

Steelray Project Viewer for Organizations Using Macs

The project management software is compatible with Macs, Windows, and Linux environments. This is a must-have feature for individuals and businesses that use different operating systems.

Steelray software products have long been a popular solution for individuals and businesses with project management needs. From project viewing to analysis tools, this ensemble is a sweet bargain for anyone needing a quick cost-effective solution for working with Microsoft project files.

In the world of PC operating systems, one major division exists. The Windows operating system has been around for a long time, but a rival platform, Mac OS X, has garnered a substantial base of customers. For many reasons, there is a clear dividing line between Windows users and the Mac users. Aside from being a virtual tug of war, this division has led to real-world issues, particularly in the world of business. Many software developers tend to gear their products toward specific operating systems; multi-platform programs are growing in number, but can still be difficult to find.

Manage your Projects with Ease
Fortunately, Steelray Project Viewer can be used on Mac operating systems in addition to Windows. If there is one software niche where this matters, it is the project management genre. Although many smaller companies instill the Mac corporate culture into their workplace, this is not always the case for all businesses. If you have staff that are using both Windows- and Mac-based systems, it is probably a hassle to manage and share project schedules effectively. Compatibility issues tend to be the main issue in this respect, which can cause time and money constraints.

Why Mac Compatibility Matters for Steelray Project Viewer
The key benefit offered by Steelray Project Viewer is the ability to access and view project schedules on both operating systems. Project Viewer is Steelray’s flagship software; it is a very cost-effective alternative that can be implemented on an enterprise level. Businesses that use this program save thousands by not having to pay licensing fees for Microsoft Project for each of their employees.

Microsoft Project users can quickly make changes to existing projects, while other team members can simply view updates on the status of the project. Simply put, if this software was not Mac friendly, a vast number of business owners would be put at a major disadvantage. All Steelray products were designed to be user-friendly.

There are a considerable amount of Mac users out there; if you are one of them and if you have project management needs, consider Steelray.

Steelray Software announced today the release of Steelray Project Viewer version 5, a viewer for Microsoft Project running on Windows, Mac, and Linux.  Version 5 introduces a completely redesigned user interface, as well as many other aesthetic and performance improvements.

Microsoft Project is the leading project management software for creating and updating project schedules. Many users only need to view the information inside the schedule.  Steelray Project Viewer provides the most cost-effective and a better matched solution for those users.

“We started the redesign by asking:  how can we make the experience of viewing a Microsoft Project file even more intuitive?” said Brian Leach, CEO of Steelray Software.  ”We left no stone unturned, and the results represent Steelray’s committment to excellent design and engineering.”
